UI/UX Design
For the project MIXT, I was responsible for the UX/UI design, including designing the UI layout based on the game platform, creating the interaction flow and drawing the UI art.

Firstly, at the beginning of the project, MIXT was a mobile game. The size of the screen is limited, and the player can easily operate it in the middle and bottom areas of the screen. Based on these two points I placed the interaction buttons on both sides. In order to make the information on the cards clearer to the player I have not placed the cards directly on the main screen but instead have a button to jump through them. For the same reason the card market was designed with three separate pages for buying cards, exchanging cards and collecting cards exchanged in the previous turn.

During the alpha phase, MIXT was changed to a PC game for technical reasons and the UI had to be adapted to the size of the screen. After researching other games I found that the player actionable UI is still concentrated on the sides and bottom of the screen, with the top of the screen usually showing player related information for the current turn. The resizing of the screen allows cards to be placed directly on the main screen, and swapping and buying cards can be streamlined into one screen.

Late in the alpha stage, MIXT was changed from network-based co-op to Hot Seat mode for technical reasons. The button to end a turn was changed to a two-step process of switching players and ending the turn. Swapping cards was further simplified as both players could communicate in real time in Hot Seat mode and see both players' decks.

After deciding on the layout I drew the UI art.
